Cheap (and good) hostel in Paris: 15 options to stay at low prices

Find one cheap and good hostel in paris It is not as difficult a task as it may seem. The city of light has many options with good reviews on Booking (hostels with scores above 7.5 and many above 8.0).

And if before this alternative was restricted to younger people and backpackers, today the reality is changing. It’s almost no longer talked about youth hostels, the name hostel is more common. I’ve seen families staying in hostels and they are increasingly well structured and prepared to cater to tourists of different ages and profiles.

Shared rooms (female, male or mixed) with shared bathrooms still exist. But there are also rooms with private bathrooms and even options for couples or even singles. Of course, all this affects the price, but the fact is, yes, you can find a cheap accommodation in paris. So, if that’s what you’re looking for, check out this list!

My experience in a hostel in Paris

Both times I was in Paris I stayed in a hostel. The most recent, when I already had the blog, was the Young & Happy Hostel, in the Latin Quarter. Breakfast is paid separately, there is a supermarket next door, subway less than 5 minutes away and close to several places that you can walk.

Is it worth staying in a cheap hostel in Paris?

Of course, there is no definitive answer and everything will depend on each person’s choice. In general, I think that one of the positive aspects of this type of accommodation is the interaction with other people, which is great especially for those traveling alone.

Not only because the rooms are shared (I often prefer to stay in the individual one for more privacy), but in common spaces, such as a TV room, games room, several have a bar or promote some event at night, or offer walking tours … So these environments and programs provide more chances to meet people.

Of course, among these options there are variables, especially regarding values, room type and location. One cheap hostel in Paris that is good and well located has a higher price than one that is in more distant neighborhoods, as well as the single room and/or with bathroom costs more than the collective room. That’s why it’s always worth the rule to weigh the cost benefit and choose the one that best suits your travel style or what you need.
