Find out how and how much the Lima airport transfer costs

I had already given the tip on how to safely save on taxis upon arrival in the Peruvian capital, but on this second trip I tested the transfer service from lime to the neighborhood of Miraflores. The interesting thing about using a prearranged transfer is that you don’t have to worry about negotiating taxi prices or having to put up with harassment as soon as you disembark. Not to mention the comfort, as I report below.

Transfer from Lima airport to the city

Jorge Chávez International Airport is located in the city of Callao, about 20 km from Miraflores, San Isidro or Barranco, places where you will most likely be staying.

As I had read a report by Anna from the blog Nós no Mundo about the company Lima Mentor and after consulting other price options, I closed the transfer with them by exchanging emails. The service is great and the responses are fast, even on weekends.

The transfer costs US$25 for one or two people and, as was my case, US$30 for three passengers. I paid 50% in advance through PayPal and the rest on the spot.

Just inform the day of arrival, airline, flight number and the hotel that the driver was there with a sign with my name in the arrivals area.

The van that picked us up was brand new, comfortable and air conditioned. The driver was also very kind, gave tips on the city and restaurant recommendations. I really enjoyed the service and highly recommend it to anyone who wants comfort and safety. Not to mention the fact that taxis in Lima do not have a meter and everything has to be negotiated on the spot.
