Earlier this week I published a post announcing the release of Springfield, by The Simpsons, on Universal Orlando and the social media people recalled that I was remiss with another twenty thousand news released by them in the last few days.
Yes, you are right. Let the retractions begin:
Universal Studios Orlando news
Transformers: The Ride – 3D
It premieres on June 20, 2013. They promise a battle of beauty, but those who have experienced the attraction in California say it’s nothing so fantastic. The motto is an apocalyptic battle between autobots and decepticonswhere the visitor climbs in an autobot specially created for the attraction.
Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort
There is also a hotel opening: Cabana Bay Beach Resort is now accepting reservations for the first guests to be welcomed in March 2014.
Just when I no longer expected Universal to venture into the hotel industry again, they announced a million-dollar investment in budget accommodation – well, actually, a little bit of each: among its 1,800 rooms, the new Cabana Bay It will have 900 quadruple rooms with economic rates and 900 American suites with moderate rates for up to six people.
The retro beach setting will nod to the 1950s and 1960s, but each building will have a different theme. The values will vary between US$ 50 and US$ 120 per day, per guest.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley
This is the novelty that causes “how so?” on a large scale, check it out: in July 2014 we will have the inauguration of the first expansion of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with the opening of London and Diagon Alley in Parque da Universal.
Is that both Hogwarts and Hogsmead are in islandsbut London and Diagon Alley will be in Universal. Yes, we are talking about the first multi-park experience where both lands will be linked by the Hogwarts Express, the train that connects Platform 9 3/4 to the castle.
So, more information will be announced soon, but what has been said is that this new land will not be horizontal as it has been until then: we are talking about a place at different levels that will unfold as we walk through it.
We’ve been reading rumors for the past few days that Diagon Alley at Universal Studios won’t be seen from anywhere else in the park: it will be hidden by the facades of Grimmauld Place, Wyndham’s Theater and other iconic central London attractions. Only when passing through Leicester Square station can we see the hidden entrance to the Alley.
For those who enjoy unofficial information, I have other very cool ones to play on the wheel: in addition to the Gringotts bank roller coaster, which has already been confirmed, the hidden passage will be made by Leaky Cauldron, which will also be the main restaurant in the land.
There will also be Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor and an improved version of the current Ollivander’s in Islands. Purchases will be made at Madam Malkin’s Robes For All Occasions and Wiseacre’s Wizarding Equipment, as well as an enhanced version of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes.
Finally, see these images here of the construction progress, including the suspended tracks that will connect one park to the other.
