The mining capital at your feet

It’s not by chance that Belo Horizonte she is beautiful by her name. The capital of Minas Gerais has a peculiar relief and is surrounded by a wall created by the Serra do Corral.

As fans of panoramic views, our first program in BH was to visit the Mangabeiras viewpointfrom where you have an incredible view of the city, especially the modern buildings in the South Zone, the mansions in the Mangabeiras neighborhood and the Central region.

VIEWPOINT IN BELO HORIZONTE

Recently redeveloped, the viewpoint located near the Mangabeiras Parkat the foot of Serra do Curral and behind the Mangabeiras Palace (governor’s official residence) has been visited for many years, even when there was no structure as good as the current one. At the end of 2012, the place was reopened completely renovated and now has a well structured deck to enjoy the view.

From the entrance to the Mirante do Mangabeiras it is necessary to climb a small, but steep, hill. But in a few minutes you will have Belo Horizonte at your feet. Elderly and disabled people can go right next to the observation deck with their own vehicle.

Of course, the tip is to visit the viewpoint on clear days, when you can even see the Mineirão Stadium and the region of Pampulha. We are happy to see that the place is very well maintained and tasteful. Undoubtedly a worthwhile program for anyone visiting Belo Horizonte.

We take the opportunity to thank our hosts cissa, Fernanda and Ana Luiza, who accompanied us during the trip to Minas Gerais and showed us the best of the city. BH residents, our friends lillian and Helderfrom the blog traveling nerdshave also been there.
