An old coffee farm in the interior of São Paulo gave rise to a paradise located in the small town of Dourado, 270 km from the capital of São Paulo. With a wide leisure area and direct contact with nature, in addition to several sports activities, the Santa Clara Eco Resort It is a great option for those who want to escape the big city – and with the whole family.
In an area of 360 hectares, in the midst of untouched areas of native forest with waterfalls, streams and valleys, the hotel complex is a guarantee of peace and fun for guests of all ages. We visited the eco resort on a weekend and we tell you how our experience was.
The headquarters, built by the family of President Washington Luís, is the gateway to the Santa Clara Eco Resort. The building with characteristics of the farms of the beginning of the 20th century mixes history and rustic luxury after an extensive renovation.
We stayed at this location, Headquarters Suite. Although it is one of the most basic, it is spacious, very well decorated in a colonial style and offers a lot of comfort. In total, there are 70 rooms, including chalets and apartments.
The room has air conditioning, retro minibar, telephone, LCD TV with pay channels and a balcony with a hammock. In the bathroom, products from the famous L’Occitane brand attract attention.
Daily rates include full board, with breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Only drinks or food consumed in the various bars are paid separately. Meals, with homemade regional recipes, are delicious and served in the restaurant with a capacity for 150 people and overlooking nature.

Since we’re talking about sports, Santa Clara Eco Resort has a multitude of activities available to guests. Daily rates include mega zipline, tree climbing for adults and children, rappel in the waterfall, bow and arrow, climbing wall and kayak.
There are also some paid activities, such as horseback riding, equestrian, floater cross (in Golden) and rafting (in Brotas).
Those seeking rest and prefer quieter activities can opt for water aerobics, yoga, hiking, trailsvisits to historic farms of the region and massage.
For children and adolescents, there are mini-farm, playground, playroom, space teen, wagon rides, game room and monitors responsible for recreation. It’s amazing to see how the little ones get attached to them. Other monitors also coordinate activities for adults, such as games and games at the end of the night, when the pub It’s the gaming scene. The eco resort still has tennis courts, volleyball, football field it’s from mini golf.
There are two event rooms with a total capacity for almost 400 guests and the necessary structure. On the day we were there, a group of employees from a dealership were enjoying the hotel.
The impression that Santa Clara Eco Resort left on us was an excellent surprise. We loved the atmosphere, the service, the good mood of the monitors, the meals included, activities and the entire structure for guests, both those who wanted to relax and those looking for fun.
