Where to stay in Búzios: my experience at Pousada La Dolce Vita

Choosing well where to stay in Búzios is something that will make all the difference in your trip. I had already been to the city a few times, but never to stay – I just go back and forth from Cabo Frio.

Now, for the first time I stayed there. And my accommodation in Búzios was at Pousada La Dolce Vita, which is located on João Fernandes Beach. I will share a little more and show some photos for those who want to know better.

Where to stay in Buzios: La Dolce Vita

Rooms and leisure area of the inn

The rooms are huge and rustically decorated, as is the entire inn. What I stayed in, in addition to the three beds, also had a television, a bench, chair, closet, minibar and air conditioning, servants and sockets on the sides of the beds and good wifi signal.

Outside, a small balcony (this varies for each room) with a beautiful view – the photo above, taken by Lu Mattos. And the bathroom as well, super spacious, all beautiful, bathtub also with a view… Seriously, I would live peacefully in that bathroom!!!

The pool is inviting, but I ended up not enjoying it because I left early and came back at the end of the day. But it is a great alternative for those who want to have a more relaxed moment. I loved the boat-shaped benches!

Reception and breakfast

At the reception there is a large area with a sofa, television, benches, all beautifully decorated. On the first day we stayed in this space at night, watching the last episode of the soap opera “A Força do Querer”, eating snacks we had bought at the market and toasting with a wine.

Right after this space is another environment, with wooden tables, where breakfast is served, which is very complete. Breads, cakes, juices, cold cuts, fruits, in short… traditional options to serve yourself.

Location of Pousada La Dolce Vita in Búzios

The beaches of Búzios are a little far from each other and the car is the best alternative to travel – the inn even has parking. But, if you stay close to a beach, so that you can walk, it’s an advance.

Pousada La Dolce Vita is close to the beaches of João Fernandes and João Fernandinho, which are next to each other. And also the Mirante de João Fernandes, which is always full of people wanting to see or photograph the view, as both beaches have very blue water and, on clear days, views from above are even more beautiful.

In addition, it is a very charming, comfortable, clean and organized environment. The kitchen and cleaning staff are friendly!

Nearby there are also options for restaurants (outside the beach) and shops, points that I think are essential when choosing where to stay in Buzios or anywhere else.
